Sunday Stills "Graffiti"

Normally, when I go to town I spend time waiting at a railroad crossing. As I sit there, hundreds of
grain or coal cars pass by. Most times there are numerous cars covered with detailed and colorful graffiti. I always wonder by who and how this artwork was done. Where was it done?  Also, did they get caught doing it? This week when I went to town, this was the only car I saw that had art work on it. Sitting on the siding outside of the grain elevator, it looks like it was in the rought draft stage.

Lacking the railroad car graffiti, and hard pressed for something for Sunday Stills, I resorted to what I could find here at home on the ranch. Our old shop has been a site of graffiti over the years. Near the front door, someone tested out a can of New Holland yellow. (As opposed to John Deere yellow!) Inside of the shop, cattle brands are burned into the door with branding irons or etched with a knife. Ford blue and Massey Ferguson red were sprayed on this door too. Guess this would be ranch or cowboy graffiti?

Hmm, I never thought of using brands for this challenge; I have a few burned into the inside of the door of my horse trailer. Creative post!

I thought of brands that were burnt on the boards in the branding corral but they got replaced last year. Rail cars are always a good thing for graffiti.

nice pictures! Nice to finally find someone on here from my part of the world, but still on this side of the border. I'm in Billings, but soon to be back south of Baker, MT. I was beginnign to think all the people doing this who lived close to me were in Canada!

Perfect! I love the brands especially and the paint. I almost did our barn blackboard which has dates for cows in heat and a drawing of a tractor, but I forgot. Good job!
