Sunday Stills "Potluck" 2011 Branding peek

I haven't really had time to get our branding photos up on my blog this week. The day we branded started out raining and did so most of the day til about 3:00 pm. Our crew had all showed up to eat dinner. When the sun came out about the time everyone was thinking a nap sounded good but instead everyone piled into their outfits. When we got to where we needed to unload the horses to gather, it started raining hard for another twenty minutes or so.  Then once again the sun came out, we got the cattle gathered and sorted and started branding. It was pretty uneventful thank goodness and as always, a relief to have done! The badlands sure made a beaufiful backdrop and we even had a rainbow show up. We finished just as it was starting to get dark.

This is our granddaughter, Haley Ryan., who is getting to be a pretty good hand!
