The after supper ritual

Every evening after supper, our four dogs eat their supper. Immediately after they finish they head for the door to go out for a few minutes. This begins the ritual of at least an hour of in and out. There is no ignoring them when they want back out or want to come back in. They are persistent, nudging, whining, barking, grumbling until we finally  let them out. A few minutes later the they appear at the sliding glass door, scratching,crying or barking to come back in, usually with Boyd or Vesta as the spokesperson. Before too long, the whole thing starts over again, and of course we comply with their wishes. Do they have us trained or what??? Tonight it was Boyd's turn to ask to go out the first time.
