...ONE TWO PUNCH WINTER STORM CONTINUES THROUGH EARLY MONDAY...

.A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF WESTERN AND


CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING.


THE FIRST WAVE OF A POTENT WINTER STORM IS AFFECTING THE


AREA...AND WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY


PRECIPITATION. FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW ARE FALLING IN SOUTH


CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA...WHERE CHANGEOVER TO ALL SNOW IS FORECAST


TONIGHT. ELSEWHERE...PRECIPITATION HAS ALREADY CHANGED OVER TO


SNOW AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF THE NIGHT. LOOK FOR A


BREAK IN SNOW ON SATURDAY ACROSS THE SOUTH...BUT AREAS OF FREEZING


DRIZZLE DURING THE LULL IN SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY HINDER SNOW


REMOVAL...POWER OUTAGE REPAIR EFFORTS AND TRAVEL.




THE SECOND PUNCH WILL OCCUR SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY MONDAY AS


SNOW ENCOMPASSES THE AREA ONCE AGAIN. VERY GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL


CREATE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...WITH NEAR BLIZZARD


CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. THE GUSTY WINDS MAY ALSO CAUSE ADDITIONAL


DOWNED POWER LINES ON SUNDAY.


TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM THIS ENTIRE EVENT SHOULD RANGE FROM


10 TO 15 INCHES ALONG AND NORTH OF LINE FROM TROTTERS TO


WASHBURN AND CARRINGTON. SIX TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW IS FORECAST


SOUTH OF THIS LINE.


PREPARATIONS SHOULD BE MADE FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF PROLONGED POWER


OUTAGES DUE TO HIGH WINDS STRESSING ALREADY LOADED POWER


LINES...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE STATE. IF YOU


MUST TRAVEL...ADVISE OTHERS OF YOUR PLANS AND CARRY A WINTER
