Sunday Stills "Fire and Smoke"

I had a hard time with this week's Suinday Still photos. Saturday night
I was still pondering what kind of things I could post. Inspiration struck
for one of them as I was cooking supper! The flame from my gas range
has to work for the fire part of the challenge.

For the smoke part of this week's challenge, I had to reach
back into some of my old photos. This was taken in May 2007
at one of our brandings. The smoke is coming from the brand being
applied to the calf.

always wonder if the calf feels the pain or is it that the leather is so thick that he doesn't feel it. Lots of smoke though.

I was going to do the flame from the BBQ but managed to find my archives instead. Can almost smell that smoke!

Ouch! poor calf but that's a lot of smoke! My fire is the same as yours. LOL I added a touch of smoke to mine though.

Hi, Judy! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love yours and am now following it! The calf branding one sure is a lot of smoke! Love your background, too! :-)

I just about had to resort to using the flame on my stove and I thought of a couple of old branding shots too. Good job!

I am glad the smoke is obscuring the event.
and that I can't smell the burning hair.
