Sunday Stills "Hats"

I didn't have to look too far for the topic of this week's Sunday Stills topic of hats. Like most men I know where we live, my husband is never seen without hat on his head. I think I can truly say the only time you definetly will not see him with a hat or cap on is in church.

It seems that no matter where I look at our house is a hat or cap of some type. Cowboy hats of straw and felt, ones to work in ones to go to church in. Caps advertising a bank, parts store or another ranch, my husband has them all! My son has his share he scatters around too. They sport the logos of the North Dakota Fighting Sioux, Western Kentucky University, and Primo Game calls.

It always makes me laugh when some of our friends who are never seen without their cowboy hat or a cap happen to momentarily remove it from their head. With their hat on you'd never realize that the hat doesn't just keep the sun out of their eyes, it covers the lack of hair on their head! I, on the other hand really don't like to wear a hat or cap unless it is really, really cold and windy out, or I am riding all day in the sun. For me the bad thing about hats is that they make my hair flat! I know, sounds dumb! I have gotten a bad time about it for years from my sons and husband!

He has hats just for church? Must be a "Lap Hat", eh? hehe!

I never wore hats when I was in my teens and twenties, but now than I'm in my 40's, I wear a hat often. I wear hats so much now that my head sometimes feel naked without one. lol!

It's always interesting to me how Cowboy hats transform a person's appearance. Take the hat off and the cowboy looks much less like a cowboy. I suppose it's like a fireman, a viking or an a conquistador....the hat says a lot about the person wearing it.

Just stopping by for a peek at your photos. This one made me giggle! Love the hat on the lamp shade! The only hat I own sits on my dresser lamp shade. I'm not a hat wearer either!
