Horse tracks in the snow

The sight of this interesting set of tracks in the snow greeted me this morning from our dining room view. The shade and the reflected color of the recently risen sun created interesting contrast in themselves. The pattern of the tracks was somewhat mystifying. Where they from our horses or deer? A second look made me think they were from the horses due to the size. What really was eye catching was the loop in the middle of the line of tracks and how it rejoined the line after coming right up to the fence. I never did go up there to see just how many of the horses actually made the tracks, so that part of the mystery remains. Unless I do go up there before the snow melts and the tracks are done for good.
