Our cows coming to water at the corrals this morning. With a temperature of -36F they seemed to be moving in slow motion today. Since our latest storm, they have been bedding down further up the creek where they have shelter out of the wind. The past two days we have been feeding right up near the calving shed and the automatic waterers. By doing this, they can take their time and turn at water, and eat while they wait. They linger for most of the day there.. They are walking down a trail Doug made with the loader tractor. In some places the snow was over knee high before he went thru with the bucket.
