The Bee Guy

Our "bee guy" showed up last week with the first of the bees he will have on our place this summer. He usually comes at night, so we seldom see him. When he showed up two days ago, it was the first time we have ever seen him suited up in his working clothes. "Our" bees spent the winter in CA pollinating almond trees. They come home for a short rest and then come spend their summers in our alfalfa fields. The bees really like being at our place, I think. Until we had the bee guy bring bees, we did not realize that bees require a lot of water. In the field where the bee boxes are, just down the hill is a dugout  full of water. Last summer it stayed filled until the bees were picked up.  They also are fairly close to a watertank in a nearby pasture. The only time I have actually seen the "bee guy" is when he dropped off a case of honey in the fall. Let me tell you, that honey is awesome!! We ration it out, and are actually pretty stingy with it!

I've heard that eating honey that is made where you live will boost your immune system and prevent allergies.

How are you honey, the New Zealand honey is marketed as a very good product for medicine and even dressing. I take the Manuka honey every morning with apple cider.
